They are suitable for polishing all ferrous metals and sanding on hardwoods. Closed coating is recommended for abrasives used for metalworking due to its long service life and high stock removal rate. As for the grain, aluminum oxide is ideal for processing hard materials since it prevents clogging or smearing.
